Boldo
Boldo has a very long history of dietary and medicinal uses in the communities of South America. It has a variety of properties such as increasing urine output, fighting bacteria and stimulating the stomach. For these reasons it has been used for bladder infections, liver problems and gallstones. It can also be used to reduce anxiety, gout and achy joints.
Drinking this tea before meals may improve digestion and help to prevent heartburn, gas and bloating. The strong woody aroma makes it useful for culinary purposes, adding a healthy boost to your meals. The herb encourages the release of bile which works to dissolve fats and increases the time spent in the digestive tract allowing for more complete digestion.
Traditional Tea
1 Cup
Boil 2 cups of water
Add 1 tbsp of dried herb
Let steep for approximately 5 minutes, for a stronger tea steep longer
Strain and serve
1 Liter
Boil 1 liter of water
Add 10 gr of dried herb (about 1/4 of the bag)
Let steep for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, longer for a stronger tea
Strain and serve
